Daily Fantasy Sports set to takeover Africa
AA – Technology companies Fantasy Network (TASE: FNTS.TA) and Intelligent Gaming have entered a strategic partnership to provide Daily Fantasy Sports games to operators across Africa.
Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) has been a booming industry in the United States for over 5 years now. However, market penetration in emerging and international markets has not yet begun. With this new partnership, that is about to change.
Marc Plaxton-Harrison, CEO of Intelligent Gaming said “Daily Fantasy Sports is the perfect product for African markets. Fantasy Network’s games provide the mobile responsiveness and simplicity necessary for the DFS craze to really take hold here.”
Fantasy Network offers DFS white label software and has gained notoriety for their attractive UI. Most recently, Fantasy Network provided this platform for the largest media corporation for DFS outside the United States.
Intelligent Gaming is the technology provider behind the gaming brands Supabets, 360Bet, BetLand, and several others. Phase one of this partnership is to provide Supabets with Fantasy Network’s software. Supabets has over 4 million monthly users and is one of the largest iGaming operators in Africa.
“This announcement is big marker for the DFS industry,” said Barak Eisenstein CEO of Fantasy Network. “Investors have often asked me about the market potential of fantasy sports outside the US. This and other recent high profile partnerships show that DFS is a global product and Fantasy Network is the company to provide the technology behind it.”
