Inseego secures Glencore contract renewal for fleet management solution
Upgraded software will enhance health, safety, and productivity of mining company’s fleet of 600 vehicles
AA – Inseego Corp. (Nasdaq: INSG), a leading global provider of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract extension from Glencore, one of the world’s largest global diversified natural resource companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 90 commodities, located in over 50 countries.
Under the agreement, Glencore’s fleet of 600 vehicles will be upgraded to Ctrack’s advanced fleet management solution at its mining operations in Mpumalanga. A client of Ctrack since 2007, Glencore chose Ctrack given the software’s ability to efficiently streamline Glencore’s safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) management. “We have worked closely with Glencore over the last ten years. We place high emphasis on the objectives of helping to provide a working environment that is free of risk to the health and safety of employees,” said Hein Jordt, Managing Director of Ctrack in South Africa.
For Glencore, detailed operational data and reporting is crucial for maximizing productivity. With Ctrack’s tracking tools, Glencore can accurately record on a vast range of operational data, measure driver behavior, as well as audit vital recorded data should they need to investigate any incident involving their vehicles or drivers. With regard to managing their assets, Ctrack has customized the solution to Glencore’s safety requirements and risk protocol for monitoring of peripherals, such as speed zone monitoring.
