USAID awards Tetra Tech contract for improved economic growth in the DRC
AA – Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK) announced today that the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has awarded the Company a $23 million single-award contract to improve economic growth and food security in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Under the five-year Feed the Future Strengthening Value Chains Activity Contract, Tetra Tech will foster relationships between market exporters and local farmers to increase sales and the profitability of key, nutrient-rich crops in the DRC. To further stimulate the economy, Tetra Tech will also establish public-private partnerships that leverage private sector funding and will provide capacity building and credit facilitation training in the region. To measure the outcomes of the program’s activities, Tetra Tech will work alongside other USAID contractors to collaborate on joint monitoring, evaluation, and data collection.
